It has been a long time since I planned to redesign my website.
Many thing have changed in the meanwhile.

My portfolio: now I’ve thousands pictures of models, people, UW .. and many other. A lot of stuff to think about, I would like to throw away many of them, or sometimes I understand I threw away good shots in the past. Some shots are worth trying to sell them to magazines.

My camera: I’ve just moved to my “monster MKIII”. I’m now using a Canon 5D body + 24-70L f/2.8 and 70-200 L f/2.8 IS lenses when shooting outside the water, and my Monster MkII (Canon 350D + 10-22 + 60 Macro ES) when under the water. Pretty expensive and cool stuff.

My mind has changed: I’m no more focused 100% of the time on technique.. tech stuff is important, lightning is everything.. but the ability to “look and understand” first, is the key.
Look, interpret, build and explain (if necessary) is going to become my methodology.

My plans have changed: I ‘m now making a business out of it, still I approach photography as a passion, but I want to challenge myself on the market. Well see what comes out.

The language has changed: now English is going to be the official one here, Italian will also be available, but as a second choice.

ormai il motore delle sessioni fotografiche con Elisa Alloro è quello di sviscerare altri lati, chiavi di lettura e trarne immagini ogni volta differenti. Nè io nè lei sappiamo a priori il risultato, qualitativamente parlando lascio ai visitatori il giudizio, ma mi riferisco alla forma e al contenuto che ogni volta emergono e, mi auguro, vengono catturati in un click.

The reason behind my many photographic sessions with Elisa Alloro is now purely aimed at revealing new sides of her and at obtaining “new” pictures every time.
Each picture is different and tries to show my wish to interpret her.
Neither myself nor Elisa know what will come out in advance during every session.
I’ll let you, dear visitors, comment about “quality, while I keep on focusing on her real “soul” and making a picture out of it in a click.

E’ un grande piacere pubblicare gli scatti di Stefania Andriola.
Il suo è un volto che è spesso protagonista di note campagne pubblicitarie per brand prestigiosi, presentatrice tv e persona squisitamente semplice e gentile.

In tre battute si può riassumere parte del lavoro e dei tratti di Stefania? Direi di no.
Così come non è facile trasmettere la sua capacità di plasmarsi di fronte a un obiettivo: prima ragazza della porta accanto (che è un po’ il suo tratto distintivo, tipico) .. poi per reazione aggressiva e intensa.. Complimenti!

A voi gli scatti di Valentina, risalenti a circa due mesi fa.
Come scherzosamente ho discusso con lei, ritrarla non è stato semplice.
Il motivo è che mi sono fatto di lei un’idea definita: una notevole bellezza classica e delicata che va resa con semplicità.
Poi ho scelto un contesto “teatrale” classico (nella mia testa), a mo’ di palco sotto i riflettori: visto a posteriori però questa scelta la “irrigidisce” sacrificando la naturalezza del suo modo di porsi… che io sintetizzo in “bellezza a prescindere”

Valentina è un volto “televisivo” e un’ottima presentatrice, dal vivo si rimane colpiti da lei in situazioni a dir poco quotidiane, quando emerge senza particolari sofisticazioni.. e questo aspetto a mio parare non sono riuscito a trasmetterlo del tutto.

Il limite è mio, lei è stata gentilissima!
.. e di sicuro abbiamo un tema per una seconda sessione

Valentina Veronese’s shots are now available.
Valentina is an excellent TV showgirl.

These pictures are couple of months old, and, as we discussed atfterwards, it was not an easy session.
The reason behind is that I’ve built a pretty precise idea of her in my mind: I find her a girl expressing a noticeable classic beauty that should be described in a very simple way.

On these basis I set up something like a classical “theatre stage” and put her in the middle of the light: But after I noticed how this choice makes her look “rigid” … and less “natural” than she is in the real world.
I found I had missed to achieve my idea of making her “beautiful regardless of anything”

That’s a good reason why to plan a second session with her!

Ma che piacere presentarvi i primi scatti con Gabriela Grechi!
Parlano da soli, e raccontano fedelmente, anche se a grandi linee, i tratti di Gabriela.
Non solo modella ma anche valletta (dei tempi “del vallettume” dice lei scherzando), conduttrice tv, testimonial pubblicitaria e tanto altro ancora grazie a una carriera iniziata da giovanissima.
Di persona posso dire che riesce a unire professionalità e serietà a un carattere dolce e spiritoso.
Non le manda a dire mentre vede il mondo a tinte rosa, il suo colore preferito.

Con l’occasione inauguro con un suo scatto anchela sezione “Single Shots” ovvero sessioni mirate ad ottenere un unico scatto.. il tema è vario: dal plagio di scatti celebri, al fotogramma di film che hanno fatto la storia.. alla rivisitazione di personaggi famosi ..ma sempre con un elemento unico di stonatura che riconduce lo scatto all’interprete reale: in questo caso Gabriela Grechi rende omaggio alla divina Bardot

It’s a real pleasure to post the pictures I took of Gabriela Grechi.
I believe they talk themselves and tell rather exactly how Gabriela is in the real world.
She’s a model, a tv showgilr and much more, thanks to a long career she started very early.
Personally speaking I would tell she combines pretty well her professional skills toghether with a sweet and nice character.
She says what she thinks openly while colouring the world in a pink light (her favourite colour)

ps. Further more, I am publishing a new section of pictures called “Single shot” were I will put results from all those sessions aimed at a making a single shot.
the topic will vary: there you’ll find shots reproducing frames of famous movies, or famous pictures as well as well as famous people’ portraits. .. but every time I’ll add an “alien” element linking to the pictures’ real subject: This first shot is Gabriela’s tribute to the “divine” Bardot.

Dire che con una persona si è lavorato bene è una bella cosa, dimostrarlo significa in primis trovare un’altra occasione per lavorarci ancora.
E’ così che nasce questa seconda sessione con Elisa, mirata a degli scatti più “normali” che sottolineano la sua semplicità, quotidianità.
Non voglio dire altro nè fare programmi, su certe cose val la pena di improvvisare e seguire l’istinto, potrebbe essere un filone per i prossimi.

A Few months ago I said I had really enjoyed my first photo session with Elisa Alloro.
The natural next step was to eventually plan a second session.
That was the original basis we started from: the concept behind these pictures is “Elisa as natural as possible” so to underline her semplicity.
What’s next? I really don’t know. This time it is better not to plan and follow the istinct ..yeah that’s a good point for the next session, if one.
